History Series Structure Design of Nuuksio Villas

The sauna was built during the poor many years following the war, and even stumps had been used in the concrete-combine for financial reasons. Some new building materials had been explored in the building, the insulation materials used in the walls was a type of thin glass wool blanket. The entire building was lifted straight and hung from a short-term load bearing structure. The damaged structures had been changed, roof trusses strengthened and the building was insulated with an insulation materials of breathing natural fibre.
Sauna Haavisto is component of a historically useful series of Nuuksio Villas. The building is a late function by Erkki Huttunen, a famous Finnish functionalist architect.
